A free hot meal will be served at 6:00 pm each Tuesday evening beginning in June at Refuge of Hope located at the corner of Walnut and Third Streets in downtown Canton, Ohio.

“We are adding the meal to our weekly schedule because we have identified a need
in Stark County and we are able to meet the need through the generous support of our
donors,” said Jo Ann Dudra, Refuge of Hope Meal Ministry Manager. “We’re indebted to
our partners for their willingness to help eradicate hunger and poverty in Stark County.”

Refuge of Hope is a Christian-based ministry that currently provides six meals per week including dinner Monday through Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm and lunch on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 am.

Last year, 21,500 meals were served through Refuge of Hope’s meal ministry, an increase of nearly 7,000 meals from the previous year. The organization also provides a 32-bed emergency/transitional shelter to house homeless men. The meal and shelter services are free to clients.
