For most of us, lending a helping hand to someone less fortunate is the right thing to do. But, how do you know your donations are being used wisely and for the purpose you intended? At Refuge of Hope, 78 cents of every contributed dollar goes directly into the meals, shelter and other services we make available for men, women and children in need in Stark County. We take pride in that number but have no intention of resting on our laurels. We are working hard to make certain that even more of every contributed dollar is used as you intended . . . to provide for the hungry, the homeless, the hurting. Good stewardship is a core value of our ministries and we wanted you to know that your donated dollars are being put to good use to help others. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who don’t need a hand out but rather a helping hand up.
